What I think is successful about Samuel Thomas' work is he definitely has his own signature style. His use of colour is also amazing, as he uses such bright hues yet it still looks great and doesn't clash too much. I don't particularly like the mirroring when it is simplified, but his simplified style does work when working with such busy areas.
I also found out that he does prints on driftwood. Its good that his imagery is related to his canvas and this make much more subtle and mature imagery.
