I got out this book as a starting point for my drawing, as I feel I worked really well with collage last year and so could build on this some more this year. I thought I would have a lot at historical versions. Although I am not too enthralled by Schwitters use of colour, I do like the difference he manages to achieve in his work considering the use of found materials, there is a lot of playing with scale and number of layers. Although these only really inspire me as starting points for backgrounds I do find it really interesting that this is work held in high reverence and is well respected in the art world, having its place in the Tate etc.
