This exhibition was nothing like what I was expecting. There was lots of different ways of working across lots of different mediums. This made the exhibition really interesting, as I was expecting lots and lots of stitch work because of the brief title. And although there was lots of stitch and embellishment, there was also lots of sculpture and collaged pieces and things with a very specific context such as jewellery. The things that I have taken away from it and would like to apply to my own work is, the unexpected, layers, multiples and interesting display methods.
