Phyllida Barlow







I have included Barlow's work for her use of wood. She uses it on a much larger scale and with less context than I envisage working with it. She uses alot of found wood, which I am interested in but then it makes testing harder depending on the quantities you can get hold of. And it also makes replicating work more difficult if necessary.
The way the squares are laid out reminds me of dulux colour charts. I would not leave my work like that as I don't think the squares of colour have enough depth and I would want to print on top of them.
Its like a collaged version of  my wood testing.
