Poppy Cole
I really admire Poppy Cole's way of working, her textured based work makes exciting imagery. All the layers and the number of shops reflects the busyness of the street, and gives to the windy effect of the lanes. Poppy has really picked up on the patterned nature of the streets too, but she uses a much subtler colour scheme than I am envisaging in my work. Lizzie Bass' way of working would be easier to translate into screen print, as it is simpler, she has really engaged with the patterns she sees as they become focal to her work.
