This journal research has covered both my media useage and my imagery inspiration. The Cole & sons wallpaper is an amazing print that I could only dream of designing, its so dense it sends my brain into overdrive. Although it has given me an idea for when I begin to treat wood as a textile, because the gold flash's make this print and that could be achieved with foil. The top image has given me some ideas for context and purpose. They are basically oversized versions of the small ornmental trees I have been looking into. But I see at this size and scale they could become bedroom screens or coat hangers. Decorative and functional.
